Our Karaoke Win!

The night before the tennis match, the 27th, Ainul, Nuruaini, Mahatun, Mazuin , Maisarah and our guests Tunku Besar Mukhris and Tunku Nuraini and our Lebanese friend Ali Jawad, attended the Royal Lake Club annual karaoke competition, which saw Farah and I competing at the occasion. Comprising of soloists and duet numbers, Farah and I teamed in the duet , whilst I did a solo number as well. There were fifteen combined competitors in the first session of which only six soloists would qualify for the final, and three duet teams as well. We made it to the final for both events despite very tough competitors. The night ended with us both champions.

We took home three televisions for the efforts. Most wonderful of all for me was singing the duet for the very first time ever and more so in a competition with Farah, who I know will be away for a long long time in the States after this year's Hari Raya. We sang " When I fall in love " and "All the way" .Chances of her taking part in similar event at the club in future years are very slim indeed once she is back in Chicago, but then who knows !
